# Put people in a hand-picked view

> Puts people in a hand-picked view (a list somebody keeps by hand). Give person ids, LinkedIn profile links, or both. Someone already in it is not an error. A person id this workspace does not know comes back in unknown, and the rest still goes in. A link of somebody already in the workspace goes in at once, free. For a link of somebody new, Ziplined looks the person up on LinkedIn. Each person it finds costs 1 credit and appears in the view in about 10 minutes. A link that finds nobody costs nothing. So when there are new people, a workspace on credits first gets a summary and a confirm_id. Ziplined adds them when you call again with the same arguments plus confirm_id. Links that are no profile, and people marked not a lead, come back in skipped. A filter view refuses, because its filter decides who is in it.

Use when: After a conversation: "park these five for next quarter", "collect everyone who reacted to the launch". Or the user has a list from outside Ziplined as LinkedIn links. For example an event guest list, webinar sign-ups or an export from another tool. Make the view first with save_view if it does not exist.

Do not use for: A filter view (use save_view instead, to change its filter). Sending people somewhere (use send_people instead). Finding people by name (use search_people instead).

Example: {"view":"Webinar sign-ups","linkedin_urls":["https://www.linkedin.com/in/example-person"]}
