# Changelog

> What changed in the Ziplined API and MCP server.

## 2026-09-13, initial release

The first public version. REST at `https://api.ziplined.io/v1`, MCP at
`https://api.ziplined.io/mcp`.

### Ten MCP tools

| Tool | Scope |
| - | - |
| `search_people`, `get_person` | `read` |
| `search_companies`, `list_posts` | `read` |
| `get_insights`, `list_audiences` | `read` |
| `radar` | `read`, plus `write` to change |
| `update_person`, `log_outreach` | `write` |
| `refresh_data` | `runs` |

`update_person` handles up to 200 people at once. `refresh_data` asks for confirmation
before it spends credits on a whole audience.

| Companies, Posts, Engagements | 5 |
| Insights and metrics | 2 |

### The shape of it

Bearer auth with a `zpl_` key or a Clerk OAuth token. Scopes `read`, `write`, `runs` and
`contacts`. Cursor pagination, and a required `Idempotency-Key` on every creating POST.

Errors are `{ error: { code, message }, request_id }`. The rate limit is 60 requests a
minute per credential, shared between REST and MCP.

Webhooks are signed Standard Webhooks, with a five-attempt retry and a readable delivery
ledger.
