# Waalaxy

> Import new people from a Ziplined view into a Waalaxy prospect list.

Send new people from a Ziplined People view to a Waalaxy prospect list. This integration imports into lists only; it does not enroll people in Waalaxy campaigns.

## Before you connect

* A Waalaxy account with API-key access. Waalaxy documents API integration access for Advanced and Business plans.
* An existing prospect list in the intended Waalaxy account with room for more prospects.
* A Ziplined workspace with outreach sync enabled.
* A valid LinkedIn profile URL for each person you want to transfer.

## API key

1. Sign in to the intended Waalaxy account.
2. Open the **CRM Sync settings** page linked in [Waalaxy's API setup guide](https://docs.waalaxy.com/introduction#authentication).
3. Select **Generate API key** and copy the key. Waalaxy says it is shown only once.
4. [Open Waalaxy in Ziplined](https://app.ziplined.io/settings/integrations?connect=waalaxy).
5. Enter an **Account label**, paste the **API key**, then select **Check access**.

Keep the key private. If the API-key option is unavailable, check the Waalaxy account's plan and permissions with its administrator.

Checking access adds no prospect and starts no sync. Select **Done** to save the connection, or **Set up a sync** to continue. An existing connection can be reused with **Use account**.

## Choose a target

1. Select the People view that should supply prospects.
2. Select the intended Waalaxy list. If you have just created it, select **Reload targets**.
3. Review the selected view and list, then select **Start sync**.
4. Wait for **Preparing** to become **On**.

Current view members are excluded. Only new people observed after preparation are eligible.

Ziplined requests no duplicate creation, no movement of existing duplicates to another list, and no overwriting of custom profile data. Existing prospects may therefore be skipped rather than moved into your chosen list. Imports may appear in Waalaxy with the source **API-ziplined**.

## First transfer

Use a dedicated test list and a person you have permission to test with. This integration does not enroll them in a campaign.

1. Start the sync and wait until its status is **On**, after **Preparing** finishes.
2. Have one eligible test person enter the People view after preparation. People already in the view are excluded.
3. Check the transfer history in Ziplined, then find that person in the selected destination in the provider.
4. Confirm the prospect appears in the intended Waalaxy list before using a wider view.

**Check access** does not send a test lead. **Accepted by provider** means the request was accepted, not that outreach was sent. Ziplined does not import replies or campaign activity. See [transfer statuses and controls](https://docs.ziplined.io/integrations/outreach-sync.md).

## Troubleshooting

| What you see | What to check |
| - | - |
| Cannot generate a key | Check API access, account permissions and your Waalaxy subscription. |
| Access check fails | Verify that you copied the complete key from the intended account. Replace a revoked key using **Reconnect**. |
| List missing | Create it in the same Waalaxy account and select **Reload targets**. |
| Prospect skipped | Check the LinkedIn profile URL and whether the prospect already exists in Waalaxy. Existing duplicates are not moved. |
| Import rejected | Check list and subscription limits in Waalaxy. |
| Prospect is in the list but not a campaign | Expected: this connection only imports into a prospect list. Campaign enrollment is not included. |
| Outcome is uncertain | Find the prospect in Waalaxy before taking further action. Ziplined does not automatically resend uncertain writes. |
