Google Sheets export is under controlled implementation and acceptance. Availability depends on your workspace rollout. Connecting Google or selecting a file creates no tab, person row or sync.

Connect Google

Open Google Sheets setup, then choose Connect Google. Sign in to the intended Google account and review consent. Ziplined requests your account email and access through drive.file to files you select or create with this app. Access is to the selected file, not just its export tab. Use the same Google account in the file picker. The saved grant supports background exports; browser access is temporary. Never paste Google tokens into Ziplined or send them to support. Cancelling consent saves no new connection. If Google does not provide background access, follow the reconnect prompt and review consent again. For a Google OAuth project in external Testing mode, refresh tokens with these scopes can expire after seven days. A test setup is not production access approval. If access expires or is revoked, reconnect the existing account using the same Google identity. A routine token refresh does not reset the sync.

Choose a file

Choose an editable Google spreadsheet through Choose a Google Sheet. Ziplined checks permission, spreadsheet type and whether the file is trashed. Selecting a file or viewing its preview writes nothing. If it is missing, check that the picker is using the connected Google account and that it can edit the file. When a spreadsheet already contains a destination managed by your workspace, reuse is the default. Its tab and saved account are shown. Selecting it through another account does not silently change its credential binding. Create a separate tab creates a separate destination, which can receive a person already sent to another tab.

Managed tab

When available, Start sync creates a dedicated tab named after the view, or the view name with a number when that name is taken, with the columns you chose. That setup request contains no person row. The sync then prepares its starting set. Arbitrary existing tabs and custom column mapping are not supported. Keep the dedicated export columns intact. Values are literal strings, numbers and booleans; names beginning with = do not become formulas. A tab rename preserves its identity. Deleting the tab and creating another with the same name does not restore it. Before each append Ziplined checks the original numeric tab ID, columns and setup marker. An edited, missing, reordered or merged header blocks new appends. Ziplined does not automatically repair headers or overwrite customer cells. There is a collaboration race between that check and the append: keep manual column edits out of the managed tab. A slow or lost setup response can mean the tab was created. Use Check setup and wait for the result. A check never starts the sync by itself. Continue setup rechecks authority before starting. When a retry is permitted, it reuses the reserved tab identity. Cancelling retains any already-created tab; Ziplined never deletes a tab as cleanup.

What gets exported

You choose the fields when you set up the sync. The default set is marked below. Clay and webhooks receive the field keys; Google Sheets uses the column labels, in the order you chose. A Google Sheets tab keeps its columns once it exists: for other columns, make a new tab. Work email and phone are coming soon. is_lead is true when the person passed your ideal client. A hand-picked view may hold someone who did not. Missing optional values stay blank. No email address, phone number or paid enrichment is added. Headlines are profile text; the job title is the current position on the profile.

Start and manage

When available, Start puts the sync in Preparing. The first valid view check establishes the starting set and sends nobody. Only people first observed on later checks qualify. Someone who enters and leaves between checks may never be observed. There is no backfill of everyone already in a view. A filter change prepares the view again. Pause stops new sends. Resume establishes a new excluded starting set and keeps previously waiting people held. Send waiting people is an explicit action for eligible safe waiting work; it does not resend uncertain transfers. Stop removes local sending authority. Disconnect revokes local connection authority. Neither can undo an external write that already started. A recorded person/destination transfer is not repeated when views overlap or a sync restarts. A separate destination can receive that person again. An uncertain result stays held: do not repeatedly reconnect or create a new destination to force another transfer. Use History and contact support.

Troubleshooting

The Settings link opens setup only. A view-specific link has the form https://app.ziplined.io/engagers?view=<view-id>&sync=open&connect=sheets. Opening a link creates no tab and starts no sync. Stop and Disconnect leave existing tabs and rows in Google Sheets.
